Every portrait experience begins with intention, clarity, and thoughtful preparation.

You may begin by submitting an inquiry with questions, or by viewing availability and reserving a session date that works best for your family. From there, you’ll complete a brief questionnaire designed to help me prepare your session with care — from pacing and styling to locations and imagery that feel natural to you.

Communication is tailored to your preference. Some clients appreciate detailed guidance and collaboration; others prefer a seamless, streamlined process with little more after the questionnaire. Either approach is welcome. The studio or selected location will be fully prepared, and you’ll receive clear arrival details in advance so your experience feels effortless from the moment you arrive.

Sessions may take place in my private, park-like outdoor setting, my climate-controlled in-home studio, or at another location you love. With decades of experience photographing families throughout Brookfield and the surrounding areas, I’m happy to suggest locations that align beautifully with your vision for any full sessions. Please note that some public locations require permits or entrance fees, which are not included. Full travel and location details are outlined below.

Professional hair and makeup services are available as optional enhancements to any session. When booked through Portraits By Jeane, I personally coordinate scheduling, timing, and payment with trusted artists on your behalf—allowing you to arrive relaxed, prepared, and ready to be pampered.

Depending on your preference and availability, we will coordinate whether you arrive early to your session, have the stylist come to your home, or visit their salon prior to your session. While specific artists may vary based on availability, links to my preferred hair and makeup professionals are provided below for your reference.

Please note that my preferred stylists often book 8–10 weeks in advance, so early planning is strongly recommended. You are always welcome to contact and book a stylist directly, should you prefer to manage arrangements independently. However, for clients who value simplicity and ease, adding hair and/or makeup during booking allows me to handle all coordination for you—no additional outreach required. Simply select the option at checkout, and everything else will be taken care of.

Sessions are offered in two formats: a Petite Experience or a Premier Experience. Timing varies based on session type and inclusions, which I detail below. Each experience begins with a single subject, with the option to include parents, siblings, or pets during scheduling. Business and branding sessions are detailed separately on that page.

During your session, I guide pacing and transitions to ensure comfort, natural expression, and variety — especially when working with newborns, where safety is always the priority. Parents are welcome to relax and trust the process while I focus on every detail.

Following your session, you’ll experience your images in the way that best suits you — whether online, virtually guided, or in person. Ordering is designed to feel simple and supportive, with an emphasis on creating tangible artwork meant to be enjoyed and displayed. I’m always happy to help visualize pieces in your home so your portraits live beyond your screen.
