Plan Your Session
Every portrait begins with thoughtful preparation and a process that feels effortless from start to finish.
You may begin by inquiring with questions or by reserving a session date directly. From there, a brief questionnaire allows me to prepare each detail with care and intention. Personalized scene design is available as an optional enhancement and is outlined below.
Sessions take place in my private, park-like outdoor setting, my climate-controlled in-home studio, or a location you love, with guidance provided as much or as little as you prefer.
Professional hair and makeup services are available and coordinated on your behalf, allowing you feel prepared by arriving relaxed and ready to be pampered.
During your session, I guide pacing and transitions to ensure comfort, natural expression, and variety — with safety always the priority, especially for newborns. Parents are welcome to relax while I manage the details.
Following your session, you’ll view your images online, virtually guided, or in person. Ordering is designed to feel simple and supportive, with an emphasis on creating tangible artwork meant to be enjoyed and displayed. I’m always happy to help you visualize pieces in your home.
My goal is for every client to leave with not only beautiful images, but with an experience that felt considered, personal, and meaningful — no matter the stage of life being documented.

Following a virtual consultation, I’ll guide you on the best time of day and ideal rooms to prepare based on natural light. While I bring supplemental lighting as needed, the goal is to preserve the intimate, relaxed feel of your space.

Thoughtfully designed artwork is available following your session for clients who wish to transform their portraits into finished pieces for their home.
Each selection is produced using professional materials chosen for color accuracy, durability, and timeless presentation.
All printing or selections of Heirloom Artwork is optional & offered as a luxury service for clients who prefer a more complete experience.
No In Person Sales meetings are required but can be provided upon request.
Framed Heirloom Artwork
This collection is designed for those who want a refined, statement wall display without the guesswork. A large-scale framed portrait is paired with two complementary pieces to create a balanced, gallery-worthy arrangement. Each image is printed on deep matte archival paper, professionally mounted, and finished in a frame selected to suit your space. All pieces arrive ready to hang, making installation effortless.

Gallery Heirloom Artwork
Premium gallery wraps offer a modern, clean presentation that remains timeless. This grouping includes a large central canvas surrounded by smaller coordinating pieces, allowing multiple moments from your session to be displayed together. Each wrap is handcrafted with protective finishes designed to resist UV exposure, scuffing, and wear, and arrives ready for display.

Painted Fine Art Canvas
For clients seeking something truly distinctive, select images may be transformed into a fine art portrait with a painterly finish. Each piece is carefully refined digitally by hand to feel less like a photograph and more like a work of art. The final image is printed on fine art canvas paper, coated with a semi-gloss protective lamination, coated with acrylic to offer glare & UV protection, framed to complement your home, and preserved as part of your gallery for future reprints.

Heirloom Memory Book
The Memory Book is a timeless keepsake designed to tell the full story of your session. Crafted as an 8x8 lay-flat album, it features your complete image collection arranged with intention and flow. The hardcover album includes a cameo detail on the cover and is protected inside a personalized storage box, making it ideal for newborn sessions, family milestones, or heirloom gifting.

My Preferred Stylists
Depending on your preference and availability, we will coordinate whether you arrive early to your session, have the stylist come to your home, or visit their salon prior to your session. While specific artists may vary based on availability, links to my preferred hair and makeup professionals are provided below for your reference. Please note that my preferred stylists often book 8–10 weeks in advance, so early planning is strongly recommended. You are always welcome to contact and book a stylist directly, should you prefer to manage arrangements independently. However, for clients who value simplicity and ease, adding hair and/or makeup during booking allows me to handle all coordination for you—no additional outreach required. Simply select the option at checkout, and everything else will be taken care of.
Personalized Scene Design
Some stories deserve a more tailored approach.
The Personalized Scene Design add-on allows me to thoughtfully create a custom setup inspired by your vision — whether that’s a meaningful nursery theme, a milestone celebration, a favorite interest, or a specific aesthetic you’ve been dreaming of.
This service includes pre-session consultation, creative planning, and the sourcing or acquisition of specialty props, backdrops, or wardrobe elements when needed, along with preparing a cohesive scene designed exclusively for your session. While I offer an extensive curated collection, this option ensures I can thoughtfully add to my collection when necessary to ensure your portraits feel truly personal.
If your vision may already align with what I have available, I’m always happy to review ideas prior to booking. Otherwise, selecting this add-on allows me to handle every detail and bring your concept to life with intention and care.
Travel Policy & Permits
Travel Policy
Local Travel
Travel within 25 miles of Lisbon Road and Calhoun Road in Brookfield, WI is included at no additional mileage charge.
Extended Travel
For sessions beyond this 25-mile radius, a travel fee of $0.50 per mile (round trip) will be added to your invoice.
Long-Distance Travel
If your event is located more than 65 miles one way, a hotel stay is required either the night before or the night after the event. Not required for sessions.
Air Travel
For events requiring air travel, all flight and accommodation costs must be covered for both the photographer and an assistant. A minimum 4-night stay is required.
Location-Specific Permit Information
Milwaukee County Parks
All Milwaukee County Parks require a photography permit, typically costing around $70 for one hour, with additional fees for longer sessions. This fee will be billed directly to the client if a Milwaukee County location is requested. Jeane will handle obtaining the permit, and 100% of the fee goes to the county—Jeane does not receive compensation beyond standard session pricing. All permit costs will be discussed and agreed upon prior to billing.

Waukesha County Parks
Sessions at Waukesha County Parks or outdoors at Portraits by Jeane’s beautiful studio are encouraged. Waukesha County offers a more photographer-friendly policy and supports local park maintenance. Some parks may require a vehicle entrance fee. If a Waukesha County Park is selected, clients are only responsible for their own vehicle(s)—photographer entry is covered.
